I am excited for our trip to Montreal!!

I’m looking forward to the Montreal trip too (it is going to be a blast!!)
And I’m going to try out for basketball and volleyball. My goal is to try to make those teams and get way better at math!

I will really try to come to intramurals but I had a very busy day today with the Mount Everest presentation. Let me know when we play again and I’ll do my very best to be there.

I’m hoping to get to counties for shot put this year. I’m also going to try out for volleyball green team, and possibly the basketball team. I wish we had a guys soccer team this year though. I think this will be a fun year!
I’m looking forward to being the oldest in the school. I remember when I was younger, I would look at those “cool” grade 8’s. Thinking how I’d love to be just like them when I’m older. I think it’s really cool the be those role models now. Also, I can’t wait for Montreal! It is going to be AMAZING! I’m gonna try to get more involved in school activities this year. I’m already on athletic council and students council, but I’d love to make it on some sports teams as well!

I’m not sure what we will read after Peak – probably something about the second world war as I have some speakers lined up to talk to you about their experiences during the holocaust.
Sounds cool! The speakers about the holocaust should be intriguing!

There are still people alive from the holocaust! Wasn’t that in like 1950? I guess if they were young that kinda makes sense. :O

That would be so cool! It would be very interesting to hear their stories!!!
The speakers are all holocaust survivors – some were hidden children, others spent time in concentration camps. I am applying to get some of these speakers to come to our school. We’ll do a World War II unit first so we have some background information and will be able to make connections – just like in our lesson today. So keep your fingers crossed – hopefully we’ll be able to get these speakers!
I sure hope we can!!!
The best thing will be to hear their stories and feel what they felt.

I am absolutely horrified about getting the shot!!!!!!! I am really scared of needles, but I have to get it.
