Happy voting!
I choose Hamish X and the Cheese Pirates or Point Blank for movie votes. They would both make great movie trailers/ movies. They both have action, adventure, little bit of this, little bit of that. It fun for the family.
My first choice would be The Hunger Games
because it has an excellent plot. It has a few different genres in it being, action, romance and a little bit of drama. It would not be hard to dramatize at all because we have some wood lots near where we live and we could make a bow and arrow from paper or cardboard. The fire balls may not be very hard either because if someone bunched up red and yellow and orange balls of construction paper you could throw them into the camera’s view. It would not be hard to dramatize at all.
Also, when people ask what the book is about, the main plot is kids are put into an arena to kill each other until there is one winner. When you hear this, it sounds very violent, but in the actual book, although there is some violence, it is not AS violent as it is made to be.
My second choice would be You Can Run because a lot of the behavior (besides the running away part) is a lot like ours. It would be almost easy filming this trailer. There are several different genres in this book, romance, action, violence, drama, etc. I think it would make a good trailer.
Those are my choices for the Movie Trailer project and I think that The Hunger Games would be an awesome movie!!!!
Okay so my choices for the movie trailer project are …
1. Point Blank – Intensly intense?
Anthony Horowitz!!!!
2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Hilariously Hilarious x 2
Jeff Kinney!!!!
3. The Hunger Games – Because im hungry right now …
Susan Collins!!!!
My first choice would be “Children of the lamp.” I would make this a trailer because this is a very adventurous/fantasy book that would appeal to all ages. It would be appropriate for children all ages. It would be a little difficult to make because since it’s related to genies and it will be hard to make the magic actually happen. The plot is very well written and for the most part it requires a very open imagination.
My second choice would be “Diary of a wimpy kid.” I would make this a trailer because first of all, it would be very easy to do and it would appeal to all kinds of people. Second of all, it would relate to us since some teenagers would be in the same situation. Finally, It is a very short read and the whole book plot wouldn’t be so hard to re-make as a trailer
My last choice would be “The Hunger Games.” I would make this a trailer because it would appeal to many kids who love adventure and action in my opinion. It would be very fun to make. It may require alot of imagination and alot of computer graphics. The plot is well written. Finally, it would be a great trailer make period.
My first choice is The Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld. The book is full of adventure and excitment. Some parts may be hard to dramamtize, like the perfect people or hoverboarding. But in the end, the book would be an amazing trailer, with the right scenes. The main idea is about a girl named Tally, who lives in the future. In what used to be the United States, now is Tally’s world. When you turn sixteen, you get turned pretty. One night, on an exibition across the river, the divider between the uglies and the pretties, she meets Shay. They become very good friends, but one day, Shay does something that changes Tally’s life for ever. She leaves to meet David, and live in the wild. Before she leaves though, Shay leaves Tally with a set of instructions, to find her. But all that turns bad when Dr. Cable gets a hold of Tally and convinces her to work for her, to be a spy. When Tally arrives at the smoke she realizes what a terrible and deadly mistake she made… one she can’t undo.
My second choice would be You Can Run by Norah McClintock. There would be lots of adventure and mystery, too. It would be a very easy book to make into a movie, the people in it are normal people and not many special effects or stunts would be needed. The only part that would be harder to dramamtize is if you showed the part when they are in the abandoned building, which might be hard to find an abandoned building we could use without getting arrested.
The third book I would choose to do is Genimi Summer because it is a touching story that would make lots of people cry in some spots but laugh in others.
1. My first choice book to make a movie tralier on is You Can Run by Norah McClintock. I chose this book for my first choice because it had lots of suspense and I have read other book by this author before and all the books were very well written. I would like to make a trailer from a book that I know will be well written and keep my attention. Suspense is a good aspect to have in a trailer because it will keep the viewer watching and wondering what is going to happen.
2. The Second book I would choose is The Hunger Games by Susanne Collins. I think this would be an interesting book to made a trailer for because it had lots of action which is appealing to many people and if we were to include that in our movie it would capture the attention of many people. It also sounds like an interesting book that would be very interesting to read.
3. The third book I would choose to do the trailer project on it The Uglies by Scott Westerfield. I think this would be a good book to do because it sounds like a different story line which would take creativity to make and I lie to look at things from a creative perspective. Lydia’s book talk also made it sound like a very enjoyable read.
My 3 choices are The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz, and Crackback by John Coy. I would pick these books because they all have interesting plots and good characters and settings that would be easy to film except for Point Blank, because it is on a mountain. Also i think a lot of people will like these books if they haven’t read them yet so people wont argue over what books to do.
1. Bras and Broomsicks- It appeals more to girls and it is really fun toread
2. Gemini Summer- it was really exciting and has a good story line
3. Safe as houses- Clair made it sound really interesting and made me really want to read it
1. You Can Run
I chose You Can Run because it sounds like there is an interesting plot. It would be easy to film the setting because we live in an area that could be very similar to the book. I also think it would be fun to film mysterious characters and make the video really mysterious and creepy!
2. Safe as Houses
I think Safe as Houses has an awesome plot filled with tons of action and adventure! Even though some parts might be hard to film, the trailor could be flashy and exciting to make is it easier.
3. Sketches
Sketches sounds like it has a good theme which would make it a great trailor. If slow music is played during parts of the trailor, it could be very moving for the audience. The setting also does not sound too hard to capture!
1. I think that sketches by: Eric Walters should definetly be one of the choices because it’s not like other books, the characters are street kids and they live differently then other characters that live like us. also, this book isn’t to long and therefore it wouldn’t be to hard for many people to read.
2. safe as houses by: Eric Walters is a good book to so it should deffinatly be a choise to deside on. Although it is about a flood and that would be a hard part to film, but it would relate to alot of people because if you are a babysitter then you would like this book, because lizzie is a babysitter and has to watch david and suzie during the flood. I really don’t no how she did it, because i would be really afraid!
3. Gemini summer by: Ian Lawrence ( I think) This book is really good because the characters are, are age so we can relate to them easily. The only thing we would have trouble with would be: the part were Beau dies from falling in the hole that his dad dug, It’s sad so some people might not like it. But for the most part it was a good story to follow, and there was some sad parts some happy parts so a lot of people will like it!

1. Sketches, By: Eric Walters. This would be an awesome choice!
This is because, the characters are close to our age, the setting is on the streets and the focus is geared toward teens our age and a bit older. Also, this book is very realistic and is really interesting in the way it shows how teens survive on the street.
2. Gemini Summer, By:Ian Lawrence (I think?). This book would also be a great choice because of how much emotion is shown and because of the dog that is used. It also has some adventure to it when Danny goes to find Gus Grisholm. It would be fun to make and the characters wouldn’t be hard to act out.
3. Safe As Houses, By: Eric Walters. This book would be fun to make into a movie trailer. This is because, it is supposed to be in the 1950’s! People could get old clothes from grandparents. Also, the plot is about as flood. You could make the movie while it was raining. It shows people that people get along in tough times. Some, of the book is in a house and that wouldn’t be hard to do at all! Everyone has a house! Overall, this would be fun and creative.

1. crackback By:John Coy would be a good movie because there is a good lesson about steroids in it. And there is a bit of everything in it. This is also be easy to do as a trailer because there are no make belive things and it takes place at present time. 2. point blank By:Anthony Horowitz would be a good movie because there is lots of action and it is not too long so it wouldn’t take long to read. However it would be hard to film some of the scenes since it takes place in the winter. 1. The Hunger Games By:Suzanne Collins Because it is appealing to both boys and girls there is lots of action and adventure and it would not be hard to make and it also isn’t that long.
My very first choice is Hunger Games by Suzanne Colins.
1) Apart from this book being one of my favorites, it has such an amazing plot and really interesting characters! Also recreating the scenes in the book will be entertaining and a great experience for many. It’s really a multi genre novel which will capture the attention of many people.
The second book of my favor is You Can Run by Norah McClintock.
2) From the book talks, I wouldn’t mind reading this novel. It’s sounds really interesting and would be creative to research about street life and acting out the life’s of different characters.
And Diary of a wimpy kid because it look very hilarious.
My number one vote goes to The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. It is the first book in the trilogy (the second book is coming out in September), it has a variety of genres (action, adventure, romance, science fiction) to appeal to different people, and it is full of adventure. It is as good length, not too long, but not very abrupt either. I have reread this book many, many times, and I can never get tired of reading it. As I said before, when I read this book the very first time, I could see it in my head like a movie, which is a definite must for planning and visualization.
My second vote would have to go with… Sketches, I think. Just the idea of living on the streets, sleeping in a dumpster, the spray painting, is kind of appealing to act out. It has enough action to include in the trailer, and it is not a very difficult read. It also brings to light some of the world issues out there.
My third vote, would have to go with… er… Point Blank. ‘Cause it’s Alex Rider
. (Sorry for lack of insight, but I’m having difficulty finding books to vote for)
.
So, over all, I’m hoping for The Hunger Games, and “may the odds be ever in my favour.”
The Hunger games, because it sounds like a very intense, dramatic and it’s full of action which is directed for more teenagers.
Point blank also would make a good movie trailer because it is also very mysterious and full of action! Its always non stop action and something new is always happening.
1) My first vote would have to be for You Can Run. The plot is perfect for a movie and it would be easy to capture in short trailer. Its really fast moving and captivating.
2) My second vote would have to be for The Hunger Games. I haven’t read it but it sounds really good. The plot sounds really interesting and the it sounds like here are many different kinds of twists.
1. You Can Run—-> it sounds like an interesting book to read and I think it would be easy and very fun to film and Tori made an awesome book talk about the book.
2. Gemini Summer—-> we all know the story and it would be easier to film and it would me fun too!
3. Sketches—-> from the book talk about it, it sounds like a really good book to read and to do a project on.
My first vote is definately for the Uglies. I have not read this book before but Lydia is pretty convincing. It sounds like the type of action-packed thriller that I could make into a trailer!
My second vote is for Point Blank but it sounded edgy and exciting!
I guess my third choice is probably the Hunger Games? I heard that it was an actiony type of book and I know I can do a good job with an action book!
1st: HUNGER GAMES! It sounds like a very action packed book
and an action packed book, would make an very good action packed movie. Hopefully the book will be as good as the movie!:) Also, victoria95 said that it is a trilogy! It must be a good book if they are making a series out of it
(I will add more later… but we ran out of time in class!)
My top three choices are:
1. You Can Run
~ I would choose this first because this book is a good length, not too long but long enough to make a good movie/movie trailer. There are a lot of different genres that would please everyone. For some girls, romance. For some guys, some intense action (eg. gang beating). For girls AND guys, mystery and secrets. It would be easy to act out and the setting is very easy to soot as well.
*I have to go, the bell is going to ring so I will continue at home!*
My first choice is the book called Then there were none it is a mystery. You will never be able to guess the killer. It has some old fashion talking in the book.
My second choice would have to be the book son of the mob. It has a lot of action involed in the story line and that much action would be good for a trailer.
I choose……….Hamish X.
As my second choice I choose ………..Point Blank.
1. Point blank because it’s action packed and sounds like some shooting in it, not really but I’ll enjoy reading it.
2. Crackback because football is awesome and I will also enojoy reading it because when i enjoy reading (which is not often) I will do good in my work.
