Looking back on your final year as an elementary student, what are some of the most important things you have learned and what experiences will you take with you as you graduate?
As this year has progressed I feel like I have learned lots of things. I learned many new thing in math like how to find areas of circles, how to find the Mechanical Advantage in science and I have discovered new ways to qrite a story and how to interpret things better. On top of learning school related things, I have also learned more about myself and others. This year I have expanded my circle of friends and I have learned more things about people. I feel much more confident in social situations now which I think will come in handy when I go to SJAM for highschool.
As for the memories of my elementary school I know i will always remember Me to We. That was such an inspirational conference. Although we haven’t gone on our Montreal trip yet I know that is going to be a trip to remember because I will be with all of my friends! I’ve had so many fun days at NLW that I could fill up pages of stories but that would take too much time!
I have definetly earned lots school wise, but also discovered some things about myself. I discovered many new extra curricular activities that I thought I would never like or would of never even thought of joining but ended up really enjoying them. I also learned lots of new things in math, language, art, french and science. I had a really good year and I’ll really miss this school next year.
I remember coming to this school on my first day and being really scared. I had never actually moved anywhere before I started school so I had gone to school with the same people since kindergarten.
I have learned a lot of things since I came to NLW and I have changed in a lot of ways, too.
Haha. Also, some of our friends are going to different high schools and we may not see them as much anymore. But, though we are graduating, high school will bring new opportunities and experiences and memories.
As it turns out, I had nothing to be scared of because there are so many nice people here.
I’ve never really had a ‘high level of confidence’ but this past year I have gained a lot of it and I’m not as self-concious as I used to be. I think that is something important to have going into your first year of high school.
I have learned a lot of things in school, too. Math, science, geography, history, language, etc.
I think graduation will be sad because it’s like leaving behind your childhood in a way and shedding our innocence.
I’m glad to say that, in the beginning, though I thought coming to NLW was a bad thing, it turned out to be a very, very good thing.
When I graduate, I will take with me the pride of graduating as a timber wolf no matter how short of time I was one.
I have learned so many new things this year!

For example, I have become much more independant. Last year I had just came here so I was quite timid, but I have opened up alot more now. I have met so many more people this year aswell!
I have learned alot school wise and I believe I am prepared fro high school.
Also, I think our whole grade became friends and most people get along. It will be so sad to go to highschool, we may never talk again!
As rfinch95 said, we are getting older!! AHH! I think I will really miss elementary school but I aslo believe that high school will be amazing.
I’ve learned a lot of things school wise and in myself. I remember that one day my mom told me i was becoming more mature and confident in myself. I agree with her. I’ve opened up to people i never would have thought of ever! I will remember all the teachers we’ve had and all the funny, special, and maybe embarrassing moments here at Northlake Woods. I will definitely miss this school. I have to agree with some of the people who said we’re growing up…… because we are and to me after i really think about it, it’s kinda scary! See most of you next year!!!
I’ve definitely learned and done a lot of things this year that I’ll never forget. This year, I made lots of new friends, and I gained a lot of confidence, joining many clubs and as many teams as possible, which I definitely didn’t do so much of last year. I guess that I have learned over the years to well… think. Beyond what was required by the curriculum, as I reflect upon them now, many of my most embarrassing moments happened due to the lack of brain usage
.
I know everyone’s saying that we are growing up; I’m still having a bit of trouble letting that sink in. It feels like yesterday I was still in kindergarten, and ascending in the grades, looking forward to the next year at Northlake… yet I feel that wow, we’re almost done elementary school. Plus, when I look at how much life ahead of us we still have, I feel really young again… frankly, I get kind of confused thinking about it
.
I for sure learned a lot of things new and old here in NLW and I will never forget it. Like, I was four years old when I first came to NLW and always admired the grade 8’s for being at the “top” of our whole school and I look at myself now and I am a grade 8 and that my elementary years are coming to and end. There are a lot of things I will never forget and I will always cherish that forever.
I still rember trying to reach the shelves as a littel kid and now i can rest on them. And i will never foget this year how Mr.owens broke my colerbone. I still cant belive how many things we have leand like in science we learnd how to find how much force is aplide.
Good luck in Miami brian.
I remember when I was little and I was a little scared of the grade 8’s because they were so big. Now that I am in grade 8 i am alot bigger than the younger kids and they are always watching us as if they are a little scared. Also next year we will be the younger kids again so I will remember what it’s like to be the older kid.
I also have learned alot of things this year!!!! It’s really kinda sad that were leaving but also kind of exciting, becuase we get to meet so.. many new people! This year ive learned to be more confident in my self, and to try really really hard to get things done:P I think that most of us have matured and are alot different that when we were younger!!! I’m going to miss northlake woods, but i’m really excited to go to wci. Also i don’t no about all of you guys but i’m really excited for grad, and montreal!!!!:P
